In the above story, Jack’s mum was furious and sent Jack to bed without any dinner.

Let’s act it out!

Jack walked to his room. “It’s not fair,” he said.
Jack ________ to his room. “It’s not fair,” he _________.

Change the verbs and act it out again. How have they changed the meaning?
You could try adding adverbs to the dialogue or full stage directions (adverbials)!
“It’s not fair,” he whined, flopping onto his bed.
